Our Team

In the current materialistic world, where kindness and compassion can often feel scarce, there is a remarkable couple, in the holy town of Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India who have dedicated their lives in running a free old age home for orphaned and homeless old and sick people. Their mission is simple yet very profound: “to provide a safe and nurturing haven for those Senior Citizens, who have been abandoned by their kith and kin and forgotten by society and eventually bedridden with sickness”.

The Noble couple Mr. Lakshmi Narayanan aged around 35 years and his wife Mrs Vigneswari aged around 30 years, have decided to channelize their passion for helping others into creating a compassionate shelter where the elderly can find solace and care in their final years. They have opened their hearts and formed “Thai Ullam Trust” resembling a Mothers Heart. It is a Free Old Age Home for the destitute and dying who need immediate attention and have nowhere else to turn, proving that love and generosity can make a tremendous impact on the lives of the these less fortunate.

When Narayanan rescued orphaned and homeless old Sick people and brought to the doors of Thai Ullam Trust by his Mobile Van, they are greeted with open arms and a warm embrace. After completing First Aid tasks, they will be put in rehabilitation process. The couple's genuine love and empathy creates an atmosphere that immediately makes everyone feel like part of a family. No longer alone and ignored. These survivors were given a sense of belonging that had long been missing from their lives.

Gradually, the couple's compassion extends far beyond providing shelter, Food and Healthcare. They take great care in meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of their residents. Nutritious meals are prepared with love and served with kindness, ensuring that no one goes to bed hungry. Medical care, including regular check-ups by Licensed Doctors and access to necessary medications, is being provided to the inmates. Keeps constant vigil round the clock to address any health concerns that arise. Further, they have taken burden of performing Last Rites for residents who had their last breath. Finally, they are facilitating each and every soul to Rest in Peace.

Mr. Narayanan and his wife Vigneswari also recognizes the importance of emotional well-being of their patients. They organize activities time to time that bring joy and laughter to their residents, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. Whether it's group activities or simply spending quality time together, every effort is being made to ensure that each individual feels valued and respected.

In addition, the couple understands the significance of catering to the spiritual aspects of their residents' lives. They provide a space for reflection and encourage moments of serenity and peace. Regardless of religious beliefs or backgrounds, everyone is respected and supported in their personal journey towards spiritual fulfillment.

What sets the devoted Narayanan and Vigneswari distinct is their unwavering commitment to offering all these services free of charge. They rely on donations from kind-hearted individuals and organizations who recognize the immense value of their work. Narayanan and Vigneswari believe that financial barriers should never hinder access to care, especially for those who have already faced so much adversity in their lives.

The impact of their selfless efforts is immeasurable. Every day, Narayanan and Vigneswari witness the transformation in the lives of those they serve. Joy returns to the faces of their residents, and hope is reignited in their hearts. These once forgotten individuals are given the opportunity to live out their final years with dignity, surrounded by love and compassion.

Through their dedication and selflessness, they have created a haven of care and support for destitute, bedridden and homeless old people. Their legacy is one of love, resilience, and the belief that everyone deserves a place to call home, no matter what their circumstances might be.
